Ford Super Duty Technology: State-of-the-Art Systems

Ford put the new Super Duty to the test by asking real-world customers what they appreciated most about the model, as well as what they would like to see more of. The answers came back, showing overwhelmingly that the new Super Duty technology was not only impressive, but customers can’t get enough of it.

According to Ford, the Ford Super Duty technology is truly advanced, especially when you opt for the Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims. The all-new pickup features 20 class-exclusive technologies and features, as well as a number of performance systems to improve towing and hauling. Among the most popular features are Adaptive Steering, Trailer Reverse Guidance, Adaptive Cruise Control, and BLIS, among others.

“Technology innovation is proving to be a differentiator,” said John Rieger, Ford Super Duty consumer marketing manager. “Our 20 class-exclusive, driver-assist technologies help increase productivity and boost driver confidence − especially when serving Super Duty’s primary mission of towing long, heavy trailers.”

When properly equipped, the new Super Duty can tow up to 32,500 pounds and it has a payload capacity of 7,630 pounds. While the powertrain is certainly the source of raw performance, new technologies also help you drive with this heavy payload. For example, rearview cameras and cross-traffic alert are ideal for towing and hauling in tight situations. For a truly advanced pickup, check out the new Ford Super Duty lineup.

New Ford Mustang Gets Performance Upgrades

The Ford Mustang is the premier pony car for many Americans, and while it’s already a power-packed muscle car, the automaker isn’t quite done. The Ford Performance division is making waves in the muscle car segment by upping the ante with more powerful Mustang EcoBoost and GT models. The new Ford Mustang will see more power than ever before this model year.

The 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine will see the addition of a calibration kit. That new kit adds an additional 25 hp and 70 lb-ft of torque. That brings the four-cylinder engine’s total output to a massive 335 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque.

The new Mustang GT is getting a bonus as well. The 5.0-liter V8 engine gains three upgrade packages. All packages add a no-lift shift feature for cars with a manual transmission.

The “weakest” calibration adds 13 hp and 16 lb-ft of torque. The second adds 21 hp and 24 lb-ft of torque. The final package increases the redline rpm to 7,500 and adds 37 hp and 5 lb-ft of torque.

Best of all, every packages increase the power output of the popular muscle car while still maintaining the factory warranty and emissions standards in all states.
