Want to know which automaker took home the title of most-awarded brand in U.S. News & World Report’s 2014 Best Cars for the Money Awards? We’ll give you a hint: keep in mind that you are reading this on the Nick Nicholas Ford blog, and that while we remain objective about the success of other automakers, we’re in the business of talking up the big blue oval. Ready to guess, now? That’s correct! Ford took home four of the prestigious awards, including two three-peats and one double award-winner.
U.S. News & World Report’s 2014 Best Cars for the Money awarded the Ford Fiesta twice (and, if you’ve had the chance to drive it, you know that’s because it’s so nice), giving it the title of Best Subcompact Car and Best Hatchback. The Ford Fusion Hybrid took home Best Hybrid Car, and the Ford Edge was named Best Two-Row Midsize SUV; the victories mark the third-consecutive wins for both models.
U.S. News & World Report considered 225 vehicles across its 21 categories, making Ford’s performance all the sweeter. The awards are determined based upon the average TrueCar.com price and five-year cost of ownership from Vincentric, LLC. combined with U.S. News’ Best Car rankings.
