On Saturday, March 11th, Inverness celebrates the greenest day of the year by kicking off a whole day of St. Patrick’s Day activities.
Many residents are participating in the annual Shamrock Scamper 5k that morning, but if you’re not the athletic type, then no worries! The St. Patrick’s Day festival that evening is sure to attract big crowds and provide the residents of our community with a fun day out in the pleasant spring weather.
The festival itself will kick off around 6:00pm with a parade, and after an hour of fun floats and great costumes and decorations, the Celtic rock band Seven Nations will get onstage for the Shamrock the Block Concert at 7:00pm for a night of live music and festivities. You can even join a whole host of adventurous companions for the Leprechaun Pub Crawl, exploring all the good eats and drinks Inverness has to offer visitors and residents alike. The pub crawl will also offer prizes for a lucky few, so grab those four-leaf clovers!
The St. Patrick’s Day festival in downtown historic Inverness will be free and open to the public. We here at Nick Nicholas Ford are excited to see and hear about all the fun things that will happen the day of the parade and festival.
